The UWHR has set the 2018 campaign goal at $310,000.00 and will provide assistance to 31 agencies that will receive funding to support many area programs.
In addition to the grant recipients, the UWHR will continue to support 13 community impact projects under the auspices of the UW. Those programs include the Heartland Backpack Program, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Huron Youth Leadership Council and the Delta Dental Smiles Bus.
The UWHR also sponsors the Day of Action, Day of Caring, the Hunger Games community food drive, MENtors volunteers and the Volunteer Corner Connection and maintains 4 Born Learning Trails in the community.
The UWHR fund drive will begin in September.
