The South Dakota State Fairgrounds will be hosting two regional competitions this weekend for the South Dakota Junior High Rodeo Association.
Around 170 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will compete at the Beef Complex Saturday beginning at 1, and Sunday at 9am.
Association at large director Kenny Hoffman of Highmore says each day will be a full, separate rodeo.
Hoffman says the kids are working to qualify for the state finals in Rapid City, and then hopefully the National finals back here in Huron.
Two region rodeos were held in Rapid City last week, and the final two region competitions are this weekend in Huron.
The state finals will be May 17-19 in Rapid City, and the Nationals are here in Huron at the end of June.
