One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Sanborn County.
The accident occurred around 2:20 Tuesday afternoon, 13 miles north of Mitchell.
A farm tractor/hay mover driven by a 68-year-old Mitchell man was southbound on Highway 37, mile marker 91, which is at the bottom of a hill.
A 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 22-year-old Mitchell man was also southbound and ran into the hay mover at a high speed. The driver of the pickup had to be extricated from his vehicle.
Both men were transported to the Mitchell Hospital. The pickup driver suffered life threatening injuries. The driver of the hay mover suffered minor injuries.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
At the same time, a non-injury crash occurred in the northbound lane of Highway 37 at the same location. No details are available.
