A trial date of May 2nd has been set for a 24-year-old Miami, Florida man charged in connection with a Nov. 2017 accident north of Wolsey that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Tulare woman
Authorities say Cedric Beauvil was driving a semi-truck and trailer eastbound on Highway 14 on Nov. 2nd when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the north junction of Highways 14 and 281.
The semi-truck collided with a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup that was northbound on Highway 281.
The driver of the pickup, Kennedy Tomsha, died in the crash. An 18-year-old passenger in Tomsha’s vehicle, Riley Zastrow, Evansville, MN sustained life-threatening injuries.
Both were wearing seatbelts.
Beauvil faces charges of first and second-degree manslaughter, aggravated assault, reckless driving and a stop sign violation.
