One of the men charged in a 2016 homicide in Cavour, SD was in Beadle County Court this morning on motions hearings. At that time a trial date of Oct 11th was set for 50 year old Kevin Krueger of Cavour.
The second defendant in the case, 32 year-old Jose Vega of Montevideo, Minnesota has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced later this month.
The two men were charged with first degree murder in the beating death of 49 year old Keith Houck of rural Cavour.
