In a letter to the Huron City Commission, Sanborn County Sheriff Tom Fridley tipped his hat to the Huron Police Department Emergency Response Team. The stand off ended five hours later. The man at the center of the stand-off was arrested on aggravated assault charges and was taken to jail in Huron.
