U.S. Sen. John Thune will be in the state today.
Thune is scheduled into be in Redfield this afternoon where he will tour Precision Soil Management and host a discussion on his 2018 farm bill proposals. The Redfield event is scheduled to begin at 2:45pm.
Thune has introduced a number of Farm Bill proposals, including the Soil Health and Income Protection Program, updates to the Livestock Disaster program and adjustments to the Conservation Reserve Program.
Previous to the appearance in Redfield, Thune will be in Webster to present the Bronze Star Medal to WWII veteran John B. Sinner.
