South Dakota Senator John Thune talked taxes yesterday during his weekly conference call with the media – specifically the Marketplace Fairness Act, which deals with taxes on internet purchases.
Thune says the bill should be talked about during tax reform discussions, not budget discussions.
Thune says residents who make online purchases should be paying taxes on their own on those purchases.
However, Thune was asked by a reporter if he pays taxes on purchases he makes online.
