The Month of March One of the Wettest, Coldest on Record in Huron

The month of March showed several weather extremes in Huron.

The official precipitation total was 2.19 inches, making it the 11th wettest March in history, but well off the record of 5.89 in 1977. All but .01 came in the first two weeks of March.

Snowfall for the month was 7.7 inches, about an inch below normal.

Temperatures ran well below normal, with average high temperatures 9 degrees below normal, and lows 7 degrees below the norm. The high temperature for the month was 59 yesterday, and the low was 21 below on March 3rd.
