The Initiative & Referendum Task Force of the South Dakota Legislature meets again today in Pierre.
The group has been looking at possible changes to the way ballot issues reach the voters.
Task Force Co-Chair, Senator Jim Bolin of Canton says he will offer a bill to change the majority needed to pass a constitutional amendment.
Bolin says the change is needed because of the use of paid petition circulators.
Bolin says he had been considering a bill that would limit the number of issue that could be on any one ballot, but won’t present that now.
The task force may hold another meeting later this fall.
