State Senate Minority Leader Billie Sutton of Burke is the first democrat to announce for Governor in the 2018 campaign. He made it official Wednesday at his ranch in Gregory County.
Sutton says anti-corruption a top priority
He also plans to push state-funded early childhood education, improving the rural economy, and developing policies to help working families.
Attorney General Marty Jackley and Congresswoman Kristi Noem earlier announced their candidacies for the republican nomination for Governor.
