Storms Pack Much Needed Rain, Along With High Winds and Hail

Severe thunderstorms marched across Beadle County last night dropping much needed rain in some areas but also spawning high winds and some hail. A peak wind gust of 56 mph was registered in Huron and reports of nickle size hail were reported near Wessington. Downed trees were reported as a result of the storms that also impacted Davison, Kingsbury, and Sanborn counties at various times during the evening. Here at the Performance Radio studios we received 1.83 inches of rain while the airport reported 1.49. A listener in Yale reports 3 and half inches.
