Stock car racing makes a limited return this weekend at Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron.
Promoter Orville Chenoweth is coming out of retirement for Wheel Jam weekend, with the Late Model Challenge tonight, and Challenge Cup 18 Saturday.
Track announcer Ken Lindblad said Chenoweth felt there needed to be races during Wheel Jam.
There were a couple of factors that showed racing was missing from the weekend.
Late Models will run both nights, with tonight’s feature 5000 dollars to win, and ten thousand for Saturday. Modifieds and streets will also run tonight, while mid-mods will run Saturday.
