The most recent Leadership Huron Class raised over 28-thousand dollars for the statue portion of effort to enhance and bring more attention to the Beadle County Veteran’s Memorial on the corner of 3rd Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Downtown Huron. The wall will run behind the monuments already in place and feature the names of veterans from Beadle County, past and present. Davis says a minor change has been made on the wall…
Davis says they wanted to get the statues in place in time for the Wally Byum Caravan Club International Airstream camper event taking place in Huron as many attending the event are military veterans The wall portion of the project is expected to be completed by Memorial Day weekend next year.
