The South Dakota Tourism Department is traveling the state offering an “industry outreach”. The group is presenting information on marketing campaigns, in-progress initiatives, and a chance to touch base with state tourism staff before the summer visitor season starts.
Secretary Jim Hagen says the upcoming season looks promising.
He says South Dakota remains a “road trip destination”.
Last year 14.1-million people visited South Dakota generating $3.98-billion dollars in visitor spending.
