Yesterday’s State of the County luncheon featured a presentation from EagleView, which provides Pictometry® aerial imagery, data analytics, and property data for local and federal governments.
As part of its contract with Beadle County, Eagle View began mapping the county last fall using light aircraft and will continue its work once the snow clears.
The information provided by the images help local government officials do their work more efficiently, for example allowing the county assessors office to conduct property assessments from anywhere rather than having to make on-site visits.
The information can also be helpful in attracting new industries.
