The 2015 State of the County Luncheon was held Thursday afternoon at the Crossroads Hotel and Huron Event Center. Beadle County Commission Chair Rick Benson says the county’s 11-point-four million dollar budget has never been better…
Benson says about one-third of that county budget goes to the Highway Department. He says after years of delays, the Broadland Road west of Huron, will finally see some repairs….
The second largest consumer of the County budget is law enforcement. Deputy States Attorney Dan Nelson says the state’s seventh drug court is expected to start in Beadle County around July first. He says the court will run a participant for 18 to 24 months…
Nelson says an additional Court Service Officer will be hired to monitor drug court participants. You can hear more from the State of the County Luncheon. We’ve posted the audio HERE: State of the County 2015
