When the 2019 South Dakota State Fair wrapped up on Monday, fair staff shifted into cleanup mode.
Assistant State Fair manager Candi Briley says things come down pretty quickly.
Although final attendance totals aren’t available yet, Briley does have some impressive numbers to share.
Briley says 47 schools and public libraries participated in “Read and Win” sponsored by Ag Performance. Schoolchildren received a gate admission pass for their reading achievements.
5,600 passes were distributed through the program.
