South Dakota State Fair officials were busy with the opening of the 2013 fair. Along with the usual activities, Fair Manager Jerome Hertel says they began a fundraising campaign for a new $ 4 million dollar 4H building.
Hertel says the new 4H facility will provide the young exhibitors the space they need to compete and exhibit at future fairs.
Hertel says the goal is to bring all the 4H activities into one central location with this new facility. He says because 4H exhibitors are a big part of the fair and because it represents their state championship they deserve this new facility.
