Many FFA members have a few busy days ahead of them with the South Dakota State Fair underway. Jordanne Howe of Redfield is the FFA State President. She says fair attendees are invited to stop at the FFA Ag Learning Center on the fairgrounds in Huron-where a number of activities are underway.
The center is located across from the Beef Complex. Howe has been in FFA since eighth grade. She says she has learned the impact that agriculture has on everyday life and wants to pass that information down to the younger generation. Howe is 19 and is majoring in agronomy and ag leadership in college–but says that wasn’t always her plan.
Howe is attending South Dakota State University.
