The South Dakota State Employees Organization has three key issues that they watch every year, salary policy and possible raises are at the top, along with health insurance and those changes. The retirement system board this fall took about sixty four million dollars from their reserve fund and applied it to existing liabilities, and stretched out the payback period to twenty nine years for some other debts. The trust fund was down about seven percent from projections this year. Olilla says they want to see the trust funds back into a growth mode…
Olilla says the organization is also planning for the 2013 legislative session and will have plenty of bills to watch…
