A warrant was issued for Morris’ arrest last week after police said he had falsely listed his address as a hotel on West Russell Street while registering as a sex offender. He had been arrested in March for living near Whittier Middle School after leaving the Union Gospel Mission, which was his registered address at the time. Clemens says the arrest warrant listed three counts of failing to register, and he says all sex offender violations are felonies. Morris was originally convicted of a sex crime in Spink County.
