Farmers and ranchers have a reputation for helping out whenever there is a need. That spirit of generosity has been on display in recent weeks as producers in SW Kansas and the Oklahoma panhandle deal with the aftermath of devastating wildfires that have claimed lives, homes, ranches, and livestock.
South Dakota has been doing its part to help alleviate the suffering through donations of money and hay. One example is today’s special benefit hay auction at Magness Livestock. Matt Magness says they are teaming up with area producers to help provide some relief.
Magness says when SD farmers and ranchers have been impacted by natural disasters, their counterparts across the country have always been ready to help.
Money raised at today’s auction will be sent to the Kansas Livestock Association’s Relief Foundation.
