South Dakota democrats wrapped up their state convention in Yankton over the weekend by adopting their platform, approving thirty one resolutions, and nominating several candidates for constitutional offices. Party Chair Deb Knecht of Houghton says they plan to have an impact on the November elections…
Knecht says they did find some consensus on issues…
While republicans far outnumber democrats in registered voters, and have more money in the bank, Knecht says they are not afraid to wade into the political waters…
Democrats nominated candidates for Secretary of State, Treasurer and the Public Utilities Commission. They did not find candidates for Attorney General, Auditor and Commissioner of School and Public Lands.
