Huron Solid Waste Superintendent Dale Fortin gave totals from the citywide clean-up event that was held May 4th-5th. The cleanup was rescheduled after a blizzard cut short the April event short.
Fortin says over 300 hundred households participated in the cleanup. Over 78 tons of garbage was collected over the course of the two days.
He says the citywide cleanup events continue to grow in popularity.
You are reminded you can use your monthly utility bill to access the rubble site year round.
