It’s election day in the City of Huron and Mayor Paul Alyward encourages you to get out the vote…
The Huron City Commission positions held by Dale Schneider and Jan Manolis are up this year. Both are not running for re-election. Bryan Smith and Du Wayne Pudwell are running for a four year term on the Commission. Doug Kludt gets a free pass to an available three year term on the City Commission as he was unopposed in his run. The Huron School District Board of Education also has an open spot that will go unchallenged. John Halbkat is stepping away from his school board spot. Former City Commissioner Kerwin Haeder will move back to the Huron School Board as he is running unopposed for Halbkat’s School Board spot.
