Having a comfortable place to lay your head at night ensures more than just a good night’s sleep.
Quality sleep can also improve health, a person’s outlook on life and even academic performance in children.
With that in mind, Slumberland Furniture began the Home for the Holidays program to provide new beds for families in need.
Since 1993, Slumberland, alongside its 40 Winks Foundation, has partnered with local charities to identify families with no beds or not enough beds at home.
Slumberland of Huron owner Rich Bragg says this is the 13th year his store has participated in the program.
Bragg says Slumberland partners with United Way Heartland Region to help find families in need.
Agencies receiving beds include Helping Hands, Community Counseling, Center for Independence, Holy Trinity, the Beadle County Drug Court, the Huron School District, and the American Luthern Church.
