Sioux Falls Woman Wins Dacotah Star In Last Shot

Three winners were crowned in the Dacotah Star Talent Competition at this year’s South Dakota State Fair. Sunday night brought finals competition for five child, nine junior and six adult contestants. Winning the adult finals was 22-year-old Anne Wentworth of Sioux Falls, who belted out Celine Dion’s version of “I Drove All Night”…

17-year-old Tyler Halverson of Canton took first place in the Junior Division singing a self-written song he performed with a guitar and harmonica. Nine-year-old Kierra Abbas of Lennox won first place in the Child Division with a version of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U-S-A” For winning the Grand Prize Wentworth will receive a one-thousand dollar cash prize and will star in a commercial promoting the 2012 Dacotah Star.  Three contestants placed in Child and Junior.  Two in Adult.  Listed Below.
