The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. The Commission will meet as the Board of Adjustments to hear two variance requests. The first reading of an ordinance change regarding the use of dynamic engine brakes will be held followed the consideration of a resolution that would set fines for being caught using a so-called Jake Brake, except for in an emergency situation at 100 dollars plus court costs. Commissioners will consider three human resource items and a request by the Huron Police Department to purchase three Point of View officer worn video recording systems. The Commission will also review possible revisions to vehicle parking ordinances and announcements regarding Memorial Day will be made before the Commission adjourns for the night.
