October is Breast Cancer Prevention and Awareness Month.
Kim Rieger, Vice-President of Marketing and Communications at Huron Regional Center, says the hospital has activities going on this week to raise awareness of the need for early detection. The best way to catch the disease in its early stages is mammography.
Rieger says the week’s events begin Tuesday evening with the Huron High School Volleyball Team’s “Pink Out”.
On Wednesday, HRMC will team up with Runnings Farm and Fleet of Huron for the 9th annual “Ladies Night Out”.
Rieger says Prostrollo’s 3rd annual 1-Mile Walk for Breast Cancer at Ravine Lake will cap of the week’s activities on Friday.
Register for the walk by stopping by Prostrollo’s of Huron, by calling 352-6411 or going to www.allsportcentral.com.
