The issue of alleged secrecy by the Huron City Commission will be addressed at the Commission’s meeting next Monday. Huron resident Cliff Hadley requested information Monday on how to have the resolution included on the Commission’s agenda…
Hadley quizzed the Commission, specifically focusing his statements at the May sixth City Commission meeting, on statements made by incoming Commissioner Gary Harrington and Mayor Paul Aylward about the number of executive sessions held by the governing board, following their election to the Commission. He wanted to know details of when the alleged secret meeting took place, to which Harrington said he did not know and that the statements reflected public perception about the Commission. Details of the resolution proposed by Hadley for consideration by the Commission will be released Friday in the City Commission packet for the Monday May 20th City Commission meeting.
