This weekend the 2024 class will be inducted into the SD Hall of Fame. A leader in the broadcast industry, Dean Sorenson will be inducted with this group. Sorenson got his start at KORN in Mitchell. He has 65 years of managing and ownership to his credit of 50 Am and Fm station located across the state. Sorenson speaks about the best part of being recognized with the SD Hall of Fame.
The SD Hall of Fame annually recognizes those who have excelled in a variety of fields. Sorenson said he recognizes the accomplishments of his co-inductees.
2024 South Dakota Hall of Fame induction ceremonies this weekend at Chamberlain-Oacoma. Lifelong resident of Huron, Jan Manolis will be inducted in the general category. Her achievements include founding the Jan Manolis Family Safe Center. She was also a force behind the SD Network Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault and still serves as an original founding member.
