PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – Gov. Dennis Daugaard has awarded grants to four South Dakota communities for improvement projects. Bonesteel, Delmont, Dupree and Wolsey will get a total of $1.5 million in grants to help with improvements carrying total price tags of more than $4.7 million. Wolsey is getting a $309,000 grant to build a new fire hall.Bonesteel is getting $515,000 for improvements to its water and wastewater systems. Delmont will use a $257,500 grant to help build a new fire hall. Dupree is getting $427,450 to help improve its wastewater system. The Community Development Block Grant program is funded by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development administers it.
