According to AAA, the national gas price average is $2.54, one cent more than last week. South Dakota’s statewide average is $2.49, two cents higher than last week and 14 cents higher than one year ago. In the past week, gas prices increased for 41 states with Florida seeing the largest jump at the pump with a nine-cent increase.
AAA reports the largest increases in gasoline price were 39 cents in California, 37 cents in Indiana and +32 cents in Michigan. The nation’s least expensive gas can be found in Texas with an average of $2.29 and in Missouri and Alabama with an average price of $2.30.
