SD Farmers Union Happy With E-15 Ruling

After months of delay, the Environmental Protection Agency Wednesday approved a 15-percent ethanol blend in gasoline, up from the current maximum blend of 10-percent. The move is popular in places like South Dakota, where a lot of corn is grown and sold to ethanol producers. Doug Sombke is the president of the South Dakota Farmers Union, and explains the significance of the E-P-A’s announcement….

In making the announcement, the E-P-A said the 15-percent blend is for vehicles manufactured since 2007.
