SD Dept. of Tourism Plans to Hire Fewer Seasonal Workers

The South Dakota Department of Tourism had their budget hearing in front of legislative appropriators this week.

Department Secretary Jim Hagen says they had only one significant change

Hagen says they plan on hiring fewer seasonal workers

Fewer employees are needed because of the reduction in the number of welcome centers.

Hagen says they can better train the new employees

Hagen says they will have more details at their annual tourism conference next week in Pierre.
