National Committeewoman for the SD Democratic party Deb Knecht spoke at the District 22 Democratic forum yesterday.
Knecht talked about how the state party must do a better job of getting their message across and getting candidates elected.
The party, and their gubernatorial candidate Billie Sutton, have made combating corruption a major issue. Knecht says it is one that still resonates with voters.
Knecht says gerrymandering is also something she sees as a problem in the state.
Knecht, who is from Houghton, has served as a member of the Brown County Commission and as South Dakota State Democratic Chair.
