Marci Farmer is a computer and science teacher at Sanborn Central Middle School in Forestburg, South Dakota. She recently returned from the Siemens STEM Institute in Washington, D.C., where she and 48 other teachers heard from leading scientists, leaders, and innovators. She says the experience was beneficial to her ability to teach.
Farmer says the institute allowed her to bring new activities back to her classroom.
Most importantly, Farmer hopes she can improve the interest in science for students.
