A long time holiday tradition the week after thanksgiving has been the Salvation Army Christmas Basket program. The Huron Salvation Army has nosted the Christmas fundraiser for more than 70 years to provide food for familes and clothing and toys for children. Pledges can be made over the phone and online. The program this year has been trimmed to three nights, Monday November 30 – December 2. The venue this year will not be open to the public due to the impact of Covid-19. The need for the Christmas Basket program is strong each year but even more this year. It will be broadcast on kokk 1210 am and on Huron cable channel 6 or watch online at christmasbasket.us The program runs each night from 6:30 to 9pm and is hosted by Frank Palleria.
