Rounds Says Budget Doesn’t Do Enough to Address Deficit

The budget delivered by President Trump to Congress this week would make significant cuts, while increasing defense spending by fifty-four billion dollars.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says the budget doesn’t really do what is intended

Rounds says even if all the cuts are approved, it doesn’t do much to close the growing deficit

Rounds says until Congress can do something with the huge entitlement programs, they are just working around the edges

The budget would cut almost five billion dollars from agriculture and over nine billion dollars from education programs.
