Mayor Paul Aylward says city officials will look into getting the stray shopping sacks corralled. Jones suggested seeing if a service organization, such as the Boy Scouts, could be put into action to help pick up bags. He also wondered if a more formal approach should be considered…
Jones says he talked to officials at the Wal-Mart store in Mitchell and was told collecting loose bags there is a continual process. He also suggested the use of chain-line fences to contain the debris.
