The Huron City Commission approved the first reading of at least 11 changes to the city’s ordinance on traffic Monday night. Most of the changes are language clean-up and the removal of outdated sections or sections that are replicated by state law. Others will make noticeable changes like in school zones. Will and Commissioner Mark Robish remind residents to use caution around crosswalks. Motorist must yield to pedestrians, but those walking must also be aware of traffic and not walked out regardless of where a vehicle may be.
