A Ree Heights man is dead following a two vehicle crash Thursday. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Peter Werdel failed to stop at the intersection of 215th Street and South Dakota Highway 45, 15 miles south of Miller. His eastbound Buick was struck by a southbound Ford F-150 driven by Timothy Hofer of Faulkton. Werdel, Hofer and a passenger in the Ford, Sheri Hofer were wearing seat belts. Sheri Hofer received minor injuries while both men were injured requiring transport by ambulance to Hand County Memorial Hospital.
