Redfield Welcomes Anderson Seed Company

Minnesota-based Anderson Seed Company held a ribbon cutting ceremony at their plant near Redfield on Thursday.  Ron Anderson, owner of Anderson Seed Company said that they picked Redfield as a location since they were buying a large amount of product from the area.  Instead of paying to move the seeds, he said it made sense to build a plant near the product instead.  Originally the plant was only going to employ one person; however,  Anderson says they’ll have more…

The $3 million project was partially financed with a REDI Fund loan and the pooled-bond program, administered through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
