Redfield Man 5 Years Prison For Knife Incident At Bar

REDFIELD, S.D. (AP) – A Redfield man who waved a knife at others in a Redfield bar has been sentenced to five years to prison.  Jamie Binger, 37, pleaded guilty in Spink County to aggravated assault.  Binger must pay a $150 fine and undergo mental health and chemical dependency evaluations. He was given credit for 117 days served in jail.  Spink County state’s attorney Vic Fischbach says no one was stabbed or injured during the late autumn incident at Terry’s Bar and Steak House.  Fischbach says Binger grabbed a knife from the kitchen and was drunk at the time.
