Snow, wind and cold will be weekend features says Andrew Kalin at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.
Kalin says the heaviest snow will be along the Missouri River valley.
Kalin says the winter storm watch area has been expanded north and south.
Rain and freezing rain turning to snow is expected late tomorrow evening into Saturday before turning into all snow.
