ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) – Authorities say an Aberdeen man is facing numerous charges after leading authorities on a pursuit that spanned two counties. 61-year-old Carl Maack was arrested early Monday after he drove over a spike strip in Spink County. The pursuit started when police responded to a report of a domestic fight in progress in Aberdeen. Aberdeen police and the South Dakota Highway Patrol say Maack wouldn’t pull over during the pursuit but he didn’t speed, stopped at stop signs and signaled when he turned. Maack is facing charges of simple assault domestic, interfering with emergency communications, eluding law enforcement, obstruction and child abuse.
