The City of Huron issued it’s first full fledged snow alert of the winter season last weekend and the Huron Police Department wants to remind residents and motorists about the City’s ordinances about parking during snow events. Snow alerts are issued when two-inches or more of snow has fallen. Parking is not allowed in what is deemed the Core Area of Huron from Midnight to 8 AM or until streets are cleared from curb to curb. Plowing takes place on non-Snow Emergency routes depending on the day. East-West streets will be plowed on even numbered days and North South streets on odd-numbered days.
