The Huron Citizen’s Police Academy will continue it’s hands-on exposure to police work by getting behind the wheel, and taking the law into their own hands…sort of. Felony and routine traffic stops will be discussed tonight along with proper radio procedures and issues involving officer safety while on patrol. Following a break for transport to the practical exercise location. Students will climb behind the wheel of a Huron Police Department cruiser and make mock traffic stops, and address multiple situations that officers encounter while on the job. After tonight, only two sessions remain for the Citizen’s Police Academy. Graduation for the Academy is Flag Day, June 14th
