One of the presenters at a recent Community Partners Zoom meeting was People’s Transit director Gayle Kludt. She talked about the involvement with the Heartland Region United Way and the partnership of agencies affiliated with United Way. Gayle said People’s Transit took over the distribution site duties for the Salvation Army Christmas Basket program a few years ago and later to serve as the distribution site for Feeding South Dakota.
Kludt discussed another United Way partnership that People’s Transit is involved with.
Gayle said the working environment with other area agencies has expanded to the Toy Lending Library and she talks about that project.
People’s Transit takes care of transferring the Toy Lending Library totes to and from Sioux Falls. For more information contact the Huron Public Library.
